One area of improvement I saw, is that it appeared that a couple of employees could use some help with typing and computer skills, but that will improve with time, even if left alone. Also the computer software may lack user friendliness, a common problem.
My neighbor took out a warrant on me and I was arrested. I was booked and held for about 2 hours. I am 64 years old and spent many of them in outside sales. I can easily tell how well a business is run in under 30 seconds.
In my opinion, the Brunswick County jail is very well run. It is clean, orderly, state of the art, and the employees I saw were all easy going and friendly. I watched the other inmates, the management, and the staff like a hawk, and saw no sign of ill will or disgruntled employees or inmates. It looked to me like the jail would be a great place to work, but maybe slightly less so as a guest.
